Your child or grandchild is eligible to receive a full one year scholarship to participate in the Duval Urban Debate League’s (DUDL). Our primary requirement is for each parent or guardian to complete the student registration form to recommend a child or school for an urban debate program.
Typical training workshops occur after school and on Saturday mornings and are administered by a designated school debate coach. Scholarships are chosen in close consultation with principals and teachers and are awarded based on various factors, including communication skills, student leadership capabilities, and a commitment to a code of conduct from each student.
We look forward to working closely with you and your child in order to make his/her debate experience as exciting and educational as possible! We will request your participation in tournaments and fundraising activities from time to time.
