Continuing education is the key to develop global thinkers and create opportunities for new pathways of transformational leadership.
T he Duval Urban Debate League provides an intense learning program that is structured around engaging small groups of students and “debate coaches” in policy debate. Our lesson plans are designed to enhance reading comprehension and public speaking inside and outside of the classroom. Debate affords both teachers and parents to support student learning in-school and at home.
Many students in urban areas lack opportunities that are key to developing their intellect, confidence, and ambition. Students are left to themselves to find their own internal drive, never even made aware of what an enriched world awaits them.
We make it our responsibility to assure each debater achieves admissions to a college or university or starts his or her own business. Our dedication to each student creates a sense of community, economic development, care and sensitivity to personal issues, and a support system for debaters for the rest of their lives.
