RESOURCES:

NOVICE DIVISION

We encourage your support to engage the local community and talented debaters as career mentors. Calling all alumni and family members!  Take this time to provide reinforcement and wisdom as a mentor/judge during tournaments. Here are some suggestions about how you can help.

Please complete the Student form to recommend the next Great Debater. Click here for Media Passes.  Sign up to become a Volunteer or Judge.

Wear your name tag (Your teacher or the DUDL tab room will provide one for you—it will help guests who need to know where a room is or who they may be competing against, etc. if they know who is from the host school).

IF YOUR SCHOOL IS INTERESTED IN HOSTING A TOURNAMENT PLEASE READ BELOW…

Building Concerns: Please do your best to encourage responsible behavior. Do not allow contestants to enter a room without a judge present. Please do not allow furniture to be moved from one room to another. Assist judges with managing the transition between all rounds. If no students are presenting, alert the judge that the next round is starting to arrive.  When all contestants have finished speaking, and a new round is scheduled to start, please notify debaters to vacate the room until their next round. Please vacate each room at the conclusion of every round so the next group can come in.

Food: Please keep food/snacks (other than water) inside the main auditorium/cafeteria. No food other than a bottle of water will be allowed in the classrooms.
