We encourage your interest in participating in Duval County Public School’s first policy debate program in Jacksonville, Florida!

Students, educators, entrepreneurs, business professionals, parents, volunteers, and civic leaders are encouraged to sign up and get involved with debate activities. Research shows that Urban Debate Leagues have direct and life-changing benefits for students and the community at-large. We anticipate every opportunity to promote public dialogue. We encourage you to witness first hand how debate narrows the academic achievement gap in reading and math, encourages college attendance, and prepares students for success in through career guidance.

Each participating school will receive a complete debate info packet of case materials, rules, strategies, and information systems to collaborate online. Each debate kit is delivered at the beginning of each school year to ensure each school and district approves our strategy, goals and debate procedures.
